After an absence the previous year, the club once again entered a team in the league.
The team is very much experiencing new opportunities.

With support from the Football Foundation the regular coaching sessions were organised at three venues, West View Sports Centre, St. Augustine’s Sports Centre and Ashton High School.
The culmination was a central venue tournament at West View Sports Centre.
The Club continued the successful coaching sessions at West View leisure centre, with over 50 young people participating.
The club entered teams in tournaments which were organised to raise funds for disasters around the world.
The Club entered a team in the under 14’s Preston Junior league. Red Rose performed well in a high quality competition and finished sixth.
Following on from the success of the football coaching sessions at West View leisure centre. The Club entered the annual Callon football tournament, organized by Preston City Council sports development.
The Club were successful in winning the under 11 tournament.
After the tournament, the Club members participated in the presentation and community activities being organized.
The club repeated the coaching sessions at West View leisure centre, but this time the aim was to conduct them as trials and training sessions for an under 11s team to enter the first Preston City Council 9-a side mini soccer football league.
The trials attracted over twenty young people and from it a team was selected. Again, a coach was used from the PNE ‘football in the community’ scheme, as well as the clubs coaches.
The club entered the open Fishwick junior tournament. Three teams were entered, including a girls team, who narrowly missed making it to the final.
The boys teams had mixed fortunes and failed to progress beyond the Quarter-final stages.
With Support from the Football Foundation, the club began its football coaching at West View leisure centre. Linking up with the PNE ‘football in the community’ scheme, who provided the coaches and coaches from the club, a series of coaching sessions were organized.
The sessions attracted over fifty participants aged eight to fifteen.
