In partnership with the Lancashire School Sports Partnership, Red Rose Sports club embarked on an ambitious programme involving 10 schools in Preston. With support from Lancashire Cricket Board, each school received up to six coaching sessions from qualified cricket coaches.

The culmination of the coaching was a Kwik Cricket tournament involving all the schools involved in the Primary schools programme, which resulted in the following:

The two secondary schools took part in a match against each other.
All the tournament matches were played at Preston Cricket club.
Overall over 100 young people participated in the programme, which was a resounding success.
